Send FlowersAnnette Ellen Hyatt, age 67, passed away at home on October 31, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. Annette was born in Hastings, Michigan, on June 12, 1958, to Harris and Donna Moore. After graduating from Spring Lake High School, she attended cosmetology school and earned her cosmetology license. She later worked for Lepinks and Rite Aid.
She loved estate and garage sales from which she accumulated a large collection of cookbooks, frogs, turtles, owls, rocks, Petoskey stones, and wooden boxes. She also enjoyed spending time at Wabigama with her Aunt Ellen and her cousins. She will be remembered for her kindness and sweet demeanor, but could be spunky when needed.
Annette is survived by her husband of 44 years, Richard Hyatt; son, Jason (Sarah) Hyatt; sister, Brenda (David) Wise; special nieces, Megan and Melissa Wise (aka Thing 1 and Thing 2); half-brothers, Darrel (Kathy) Bliss and Rick (Martha) Bliss.
All light went out when she passed. She will be deeply missed.
A visitation will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444. Private Services will also be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Harbor Hospice Foundation in Annette's Memory. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444. Share memories with the family at sytsemafh.com.

Dear Dick, Jason & Sarah, and family,
I´m holding you so close right now, my heart entwined with yours as we say goodbye to our sweet Annette. She was pure, quiet light-the kind of gentle soul who made the whole world feel safer and softer just by being in it.
I still remember that very first quiet car ride when I´d only just met her. Out of nowhere, in the softest voice, she turned to me and said, "I like rocks and leaves." Just like that. No explanation, just this shy little smile. In that single moment she handed me her whole heart, and taught me to start looking for beauty everywhere.
Our Arizona trips are etched into my heart forever: us all packing into a rental van, laughter louder than the radio, chasing a Nut House we never found but somehow never minded. Dick shaking his head, Jason & Sarah trading playful jabs, Garry grinning ear-to-ear, and Annette and I laughing so hard we nearly cried, insisting every detour was the whole adventure. Every time a train roared past, she waved bigger than anyone, just because she loved seeing the people she loved happy.
Annette loved with her whole quiet heart, and she left pieces of it everywhere: in every leaf we now stop to cradle, every pretty rock we can´t leave behind, every story we´ll tell until we´re "old and gray."
Dick, Jason & Sarah-lean on each other. Hold tight, laugh through the tears, keep her treasures close. She´s right there in every bit of it-still smiling, still saving the prettiest leaf for you.
With all my love and the longest, softest hug,
Shelley

I have many memories of my cousin Annette. We spent time together at the cottage in northern Michigan which our Grandma and Grandpa built over 100 years ago. Neither of us got to know Grandpa due to his early death, but we had great memories of our Grandma. Swimming, eating sandwiches at the round table on the beach, sitting in front of a roaring fire in the fireplace, and eating Grandma's great cooking. Annette always had a positive word to say and was one of the sweetest people I've ever met. She was like a daughter to my mother, Ellen, who is now 94. Mom cherishes the blanket (white with red hearts) that Annette made for her. She uses it every day when she is sitting in her favorite chair. We will miss her very much. We send loving hugs to Dick and Jason and the whole family.
Love,
from Gail
