Carol Lynn Boes

Carol Lynn Boes, age 83, of Spring Lake, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

Born on February 19, 1942, in Grand Haven, Michigan, Carol was the cherished daughter of the late Ken Garter and Harriet (Musial) Garter. She graduated from Grand Haven High School, where she completed her Nurses Aid certificate.

Carol was the beloved wife of the late Wayne Boes. She spent many years as a devoted mother and later as a dedicated waitress at the Clover Bar in Grand Haven, where she was known for her friendly service and warm personality.

Carol's strongest characteristic was her selflessness. She consistently put the needs of her family and friends above her own, driven by a deep desire to see the people she loved happy.

She enjoyed an active life filled with hobbies, including fishing, trips to the horse track, and working on puzzles. Her weekly workouts with friends and her time spent with her cherished "Taco Tuesday" group brought her immense joy and companionship.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Ken Garter and Harriet Musial; her loving husband, Wayne Boes; and her brother, Kenneth Garter.

She is survived by her loving family:

Brothers: TJ and (Jill) Musial, and Steve and (Paulette) Musial.

Children: Mark Vander Sys, Matt and (Roxanne) Vander Sys, and Mecca Brown. Step Children: Kevin and (Laura) Boes, Kim Boes.

Grandchildren: Ashley and (Dan) Mikita, Kara Vander Sys, Krystal and (Jeff) Wagenmaker, Maisie and (Brandon) Gould, Adelina Brown, Sawyer Brown, Kenneth and (Mariah) Brown. Step Grandchildren: Brodie Boes, Gabby Boes.
