I´m saddened to hear the news that a childhood friend has passed away. I met John and Bubba in the early 1970´s around the time I entered junior high school. Since we didn´t attend the same elementary school meeting John and many others really opened the spectrum of new friends to hang out with. Some of these new friends , including John, resided close to downtown GH. The old YMCA , which was located in the Armory building, was the gathering place for our collective. We also congregated at the Starlight Lanes, the Wall, the Patio, the beach and back in the woods of Mulligans Hollow. Most everyday was a adventure especially during the Summer. John was cool with his wit and looks. His style back in the day were Levi´s , white T shirt, navy blue Sir Jac Jacket and Dingo cowboy boots. Most of us followed John´s lead. And don´t forget the long hair. John was very active in playing drums in junior high and throughout his life. Pinch and the Beach Bashers provided many great fun times with john holding down the groove. Grand Haven was such a great place to grow up and getting to know wonderful people like John. You will be missed ....friend.
But never forgotten.

My prayers of comfort go to the family, especially for Natalie and Brigitte in the loss of your father. I always enjoyed talking to your dad and thought he was such a kind soul.
