John was a very kind, intelligent, and thoughtful person. While he worked in the Counseling Center, his impact was felt all over campus. I first met John while I was a resident assistant at Grand Valley State University. He would always check in on us and make sure that we were doing alright. That never stopped when I started working there. He was always consistent. Thank you for being you.

Not a kinder man has ever walked this earth. John would frequent Jumpin Java on his way to GVSU.
We would exchange pleasantries and he would continue on his way.
RIP my friend.
