Our Beloved Angel, Shannon Marie Obradovich, age 46, peacefully took flight on December 17, 2023, beside the Love of Her Life, Steph. She was born on April 27, 1977 to Margie Dean Calkins.
Shannon's vibrant spirit and unwavering strength were evident throughout her life. Despite facing a challenging four-year battle with cancer, Shannon's spirit remained unstoppable. Shannon leaves behind a legacy of courage and resilience. Shannon's departure leaves a void in the hearts of many, but her spirit continues to inspire and guide us.
Shannon was an avid softball player for over three decades, Shannon's passion for the game led to the love of her life, Steph, with whom she shared over 17 joyous years. Her love was infectious, she found delight in things like Strawberry Shortcake, camping, and sunflowers. Shannon's boundless love extended to her family, friends, cats, and especially all of her nieces and nephews who she adored wholeheartedly.
Shannon is survived by the Love of Her Life, Steph Wilbur; Her mother, Margie Dean Calkins; stepfather, Bill Calkins; siblings, her always there for her Big Brother, Jeremy Obradovich (Amy Spring), Lisa (Jesse) Morgan, and William Calkins; uncles, William Anglebrandt, George (Candy) Perry and Johnny (Wendy) Perry; and a large extended family, including numerous aunts and uncles.
Shannon will be remembered as a Beloved Angel by her Nieces; Amanda, Sydney, Tahtem, Abby, MaKenna, Alexa, Braisly, Ava, Madison, Izabel, Cloe, Tenley, Emma, Felicity, and Dani. Her Nephews; Kyle, Tyler, Jordan, Drake, Riley, Caleb, Gavin, Bryson, Easton, and Owen.
Her life touched so many, including her dear friends, Amber Tenille, Rebecca Ogren, Wendy Schultz, Ty Englehart, Kaj (Tina) Langlois, and The Wilbur Family Pam, Chantele (Randy) Lawson, Stacey Wilbur, David (Nikki) Wilbur, Devon Wilbur and Jon Felker, among others. She is preceded in death by her Beloved Grandmother Gloria Dean Perry; Aunt Linda, and David L. Wilbur Sr.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Holland in Shannon's Memory. A Celebration of Life for Shannon will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, from 4-7 p.m. at the Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444.
