Gray, Larry 1/9/1944 - 1/6/2022 Howard City Larry Gaylon Gray passed into the arms of his Jesus on Thursday, January 6, 2022. He was born to Ira and Alma (Dean) Gray in Muskegon, Michigan January 9, 1944. He was the third of six children. Larry worked in manufacturing all his life. The last forty plus years of his career he was a machinist, supervisor, and general foreman for Blackmer Pump/Dover. He was compassionate but firm and fair in his dealings with his fellow workers. Employees often sat in his office for personal advice or a listening ear. He was highly respected by both workers and management alike. Upon retirement in 2014, Larry enjoyed having friends and family over for special dinners that he loved to cook. He also loved spending time and fishing with his autistic daughter Alena. They were "best buddies". Larry was on dialysis the last six years of his life. His nurse Holly and many patients will miss his caring and joyful spirit. Larry was a devoted husband to Sandy (Muilenberg) Gray, and a loving father to Timothy Gray, Denice Post (Mike), Kevin Russell, Greg Gray, Destemona Bozhani, Alena Gray, Justin Gray, Angela Gray, Sarah Whitmill (Austin), and Alexander Gray. He was a caring grandfather to Alexandria and Nathaniel Post, and little, yet to be born, Baby Whitmill. Larry was in agonizing pain his last few weeks of his life, and fought through to the very end. He was lovingly surrounded by his wife and children as he entered the presence of his Lord Jesus leaving behind pain and suffering. He will join his parents Ira and Alma (Dean) Gray, his sister-in-law Carol Gray, sister Peggy Grewe, and niece Marilyn Grewe-Braun who just recently passed. Larry was always a great man to all staff. His wife Sandy and son Tim worked with him while at Blackmer. They too were very kind. I'm so sorry for you loss. Peace to you all. Gregg
