Osborn, Marilyn Mae (Mueller) age 85, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Sunday, November 21, 2021. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Marilyn met Don Osborn, a dashing Air Force Radar Technician, in her senior year of high school in Waverly, Iowa, and married him on June 20, 1954. They moved to Grant, MI shortly after. She was a stay-at-home mother to her three children until she entered college and earned her teaching degree from Grand Valley State College in 1973. Marilyn taught second grade in Grant for 23 years before retiring. She loved her time in the classroom and was devoted to teaching and to her students. Marilyn was an involved member of the United Church of Christ since 1957 and, over the years, taught Sunday School, co-chaired church dinner, and was on the Parish Care-Team. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Don Osborn, her son, Douglas Osborn, her daughter-in-law, Nancy Osborn, her parents, Albert and Martha Mueller, brothers, Ewald and Jim Mueller, sister, Dorry Wiltshire and many beloved in-laws. Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Jean (Paul), JoEllen (Steve); daughter-in-law, Terri Osborn; sister, Joan; sisters-in-law, Sally Osborn, Arlene (Larry) George; brother-in-law, Dick (Martha) Osborn, grandchildren, Christina (Scott), Kristin (Wes), Melissa (Bharat), Gabriel (Libby), Nathan (Amanda) and several great-grandchildren. Marilyn will be greatly missed. Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 27th from 10:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am at Grant Community Church. Memorial donations may be made to Grant Community Church.
