VanVeelen, Rachell 2/26/1977 - 9/23/2021 Lowell Rachell Courtney VanVeelen, age 44, of Lowell, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 23, 2021. She is survived by her husband Brian of 23 years; her sons Carson and Spencer VanVeelen; her mother Charlene (Lansing) Timmer; father James Lyon; mother-in-law Shelly VanVeelen; father-in-law Bill (Judy) VanVeelen; sister Sara Guile; brother Dirk (Krysna) Timmer; brother-in-law Scott (Lisa) VanVeelen, and also aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. Rachell was a dedicated nurse her entire life. After acquiring her RN degree, she went to pursue her BSN degree from Ohio University all while battling cancer. She loved traveling and making memories with her family, and spending time with her boys. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 11am at Roth Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell, MI 49331. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Pastor Brad Brillhart will be officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Pink Arrow Pride, PO Box 246, Lowell, MI 49331 or Spectrum Health Hospice 100 Michigan St. NE Grand Rapids, MI 49503.

For Char, Lance, Sarah and Brian. Just wanted to let you guys know we are thinking about you all today as you share Rachel´s life with friends and family. We are sorry we can´t be there because of prior commitments but wanted you to know you are loved and thought about often. We hope to see you soon.
