Gordon Stoltz Jr., 62, of Powell, Wyoming, passed away on October 23, 2025, while working on his ranch.

Born October 5, 1963, to Judith and Gordon Stoltz Sr., Gordy was raised in Grand Rapids, graduating from Grand Rapids High School in 1982. After graduating from Eveleth Technical College in 1983 for Graphic Design, Gordy spent his career in the printing field. For many years, Gordy worked for the Minnesota State Department of Corrections, passing along his printing skills to inmates. Upon retiring, Gordy built his dream ranch out west. Gordy was an avid woodworker and eventually established WY Custom Cabinets. His passion for being a cowboy and breeding quality horses became apparent when his business, Beartooth Quarter Horses, began selling colts all over the US. Gordy took great pride in his horses and built many lifelong relationships with other horse enthusiasts.

Gordy is survived by his parents, Judith and Gordon Sr.; his wife of 23 years, Lori Stoltz; brothers Greg (Frankie) Stoltz, Gary (Angie) Stoltz; sons Jon (Jessica) Stoltz, Jeremy (Jessica) Stoltz, Jesse (Rebekah) Johnston, and Bill Johnston; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

An informal celebration of life will take place, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm, Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Barn in The Woods Event Center, located at 27037 Co Rd 478 (Baich Road), Bovey, MN 55709.
