Joyce Moore Obituary

Joyce "Joy" Marie Moore, 74 of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away peacefully on March 19 at U of M Fairview.

Joy was a loving person who was always very passionate about helping others. She really enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Joy was known by many to be an excellent cook, especially for her homemade bread. She could also be found staying busy with one of her many sewing projects, often making items for family and friends. Joy loved playing Bunco with the ladies at the YMCA, going on an occasional ladies trip to the casino, playing bingo or just relaxing next to a campfire. Of all things, she was so proud to be a grandma.

Joy leaves behind the love of her life of 55 years, Jon Jensen. Two children; Buck (Leah) Moore, of Duluth, MN and Krista (Brian) Firchau, of Pine River, MN. She also leaves behind four grandchildren; Ashtin (Kyle) Fenna, Alyssa Moore-Blanchard, Jack Moore, and Kirk Moore. Joy is survived by siblings; Carol Larson (Wayne Karnitz), Judy (Bude) Fondurulia, Janet Moore, Diane (Paul) Rustad and Debbie (DJ) Thieman. She was also blessed with many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and special people who she treated as her own throughout her life.

Joy is preceded in death by her parents; Donald and Irene Moore, and brother Ron Moore.

Per Joy's wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
