Viola "Honey" Beth Grover, age 90, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away Monday, November 24, 2025, at Essentia Health-St. Mary's in Duluth, MN.

Viola was born in 1935 to Vernon and Martha Phelps in Park Rapids, MN. She attended school in Grand Rapids, MN. Viola was united into marriage to Gordon Grover on June 7, 1952 in Grand Rapids, MN. Viola and Gordon lived in their original home where they raised their family. Viola remained there until six months ago. Viola was one of the founding members of the Itasca Driftskippers Snowmobile Club, was a member of Fraternal Order Eagles Auxiliary, and Women of the Moose all of Grand Rapids, MN. She enjoyed camping, sewing, crocheting, gardening, and square dancing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Martha Phelps; husband, Gordon; son, Lonny Grover; sister, Lola Grover and Marion Kalstad; and brother, Bennie Phelps. Viola is survived by her children, Susan (Larry) Froehlich of Floodwood, MN, Penny (Doug) Foix of Grand Rapids, MN, Terry (Greg) Strom of Saginaw, MN, and Chris (Laura) Grover of Grand Rapids, MN; brother, Kenny Phelps; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025 at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Grand Rapids, MN beginning at 12 Noon with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM at the church. Rev. David Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Harris Cemetery, Harris Township, MN.
