Billy Ruby Obituary

STOCKETT - Billy Lester Ruby, 34, of Stockett, a construction worker and logger, died Saturday of injuries received in a motor vehicle accident near Stockett.
No services are planned. View-ing and cremation have taken place under the direction of Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home.
Survivors include his mother, Sharon Ruby of Great Falls; the mothers of his children; daughters Kara Lynn Nielsen of Lehigh, Utah, and Ashley Ruby of Stockett; sons Kendrick Ruby of Ogden, Utah, and Shawn Ruby of Stockett; a sister, Liz Hutchings of Vancouver, Wash.; and a brother, Tim Jackson of Great Falls.
Billy was born on an early evening Oct. 25, 1972, in Great Falls, joining his brother and sister. This small family of four stayed together, sharing their love.
Billy loved life and had more fun than the law allows. His joy was working on his stock car with his brother and family. Billy had many friends and enjoyed working with them. He loved working in the woods. He was an adventurer, going to work with his friends in New Orleans and Florida to help after Katrina. He will be greatly missed by his family. They will always love him. The bright red sun on the evening he died was his way of saying goodbye and hello to a new adventure.

To the family of Bill Ruby,
I just heard the news and wanted to send my condolences. I lived with Bill along with Brian here in Las Vegas. It was the bachelor pad. The three of us were the best of friends and we shared a lot of good times. The first thing that came to mind is all the good laughs we had and the nights struggling to finish "Driver" the video game. I use to love kickin it with him rappin about cars. Bill, you will always be missed in my heart, man.

To the Family of Billy Ruby:
I was so sorry to hear of Billy's accident. He was a gentle soul. I have some pictures of Billy racing at the track in Great Falls and would love to give them to you. I knew him from the track and he enjoyed his racing...maybe it was that big warm smile that showed how much he enjoyed himself. If you would like the pictues you can contact me and I will gladly send them to you.

Dearest Billy,
You had and will always have a heart of gold. You went out of your way for those in need. Not only that but everyone had a great time around you and enjoyed your infectious love of life. As your "little sis" I will always remember the tall, handsome man you were and one who ALL the girls loved.

You loved your children more then anything and worked really hard to make sure they had what they needed. And in true Billy style made sure they had fun in life too!

Billy, you had a lot of energy, a lot of fun and you were the happiest person I know.

Your one of a kind "little bro." I'm missing you! Until we met again.

Aunt Sharon, Tim and Liz; My love, prayers and thoughts are with you all. Soon I will be home to provide comfort and hugs in person. I didn't get to spend much time with Billy after my move to Alaska; so most of my memories are of when we were both children. I am posting two photographs from that time. The first was taken at your house on Thanksgiving, I was 11 and Billy was 1. The second was taken at our house, I believe right before our move to Alaska. Love, Linda

Billy was one of my best friends, and one of the cornerstones of my youth, growing up in Great Falls. I loved him, and I will miss him. My heart reaches out to Sharon, who played mother to both of us, keeping us (mostly) out of trouble. Take care of yourself Sharon. Billy remains in our hearts and memories.
