Dave Baker Obituary
Great Falls —Dave Baker, 60, of Great Falls, passed away Saturday January 21, 2017.
Dave was born on April 8, 1956 in Great Falls, and attended Great Falls public schools. He went on to become a deputy sheriff in Chouteau County for several years. He was last employed by Admiral Beverage in Great Falls as a fleet supervisor.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Crossroads Memorial Church (1700 Market Place Dr, Great Falls) at 11:00 AM.
He married Elaine Meyer and they had two daughters, Julie & Dawn. He later married Debbie Halliwell and they had a son Bobby.
He married the love of his life, Robin Remmel in 1987. He and Robin had attended Sunnyside School together and were friends for years before they married.
Dave loved the outdoors, especially camping & fishing. He enjoyed his time on the water. He was a member of Walleyes Unlimited and fished in their Tiber Lake tournaments with his fishing partner, Jerel.
Dave also was an avid pool player and was a member and supporter of the pool leagues throughout the area for many years. He developed many lifelong friendships through the pool leagues.
Dave loved to laugh and play practical jokes. His sense of humor had no limits.
Dave is survived by his loving wife, Robin, daughter Julie, son Bobby (Jen), and three grand children.
He is also survived by sisters, Carlien "Sami" Baier, Corinne (Jerry) Gates, Lynn (Tony) Ludtke, Jeanne Knecht, and Bobbie Sue (John) Talmage, brothers, Floyd Elkins, Russell Baker and Ross McBurney. He is also survived by many well loved nieces & nephews. In addition, he is survived by his sister in law Sally (Royal) Davis and his brother in law David Remmel.
Dave is preceded in death by his mother and father, Bob & Ethel McBurney, daughter Dawn, and brother Lee.
Many thanks to the dedicated ICU staff, doctors, and surgery staff at Benefis Hospital. Your caring and compassion will never be forgotten.
Dave had a kind and caring spirit and will be missed by all who knew him.

Robin we were shocked to hear of Dave's untimely passing. He was a wonderful man that will be missed by many. Yoshiko and I will always fondly remember our many visits with him and all of his work and generosity during the Friendship Force Exchanges in which you both were so deeply involved. It was an honor to have known him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Robin.

Robyn, I'm so sorry for your loss. Dave was one of the few truly good men in this world...a conscientious worker, loving husband and father and a good friend. I'll always remember the card games and dinners we shared at your house. I'm sure he'll find the best fishing holes heaven has to offer.
