Emil Day Chief Obituary
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Community Center in Heart Butte. Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Heart Butte, with burial in St. Anne Cemetery. Pondera Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Weaselhead Day Chief of Valier; sons Grinnell Day Chief of Heart Butte, and Emil S. Day Chief of Great Falls; sisters Bella Day Chief, Hilda Day Chief, Agnes Day Chief, Janica Villareal, Celia Walking Child and Virginia Gladeau, all of Alberta; brothers Sam Day Chief, Mike Day Chief, Jerry Day Chief, Rex Day Chief, Leo Day Chief and Larry Walking Child, all of Alberta; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Helen and Lil' Emil,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. Emil was a wonderful person, he gave me the book Yesterday's Yarns awhile back and i've still got it, signed copy even. I'll always remember hanging out and visiting with all of you in Conrad.

I just learned of Emil's passing and I am so sorry to hear of your loss. His great big smile and ability to make a person smile and laugh no matter what the circustances were, will always be remembered. You are all in my thought and prayers.
