Howard A. Clodfelter

COLORADO SPRINGS - Howard A Clodfelter, 67, of Colorado Springs, Colorado and formerly of Great Falls, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Mountain View Lutheran Church. Burial of ashes took place at the Montana State Veteran's Cemetery at Fort Harrison. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Howard was born in Neillsville, Wisconsin on October 3, 1950 to Waldemar and Yarmille Clodfelter. He attended schools in Wisconsin and after graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served for seven years and was stationed in the Philippines. It was there that he met Precy Albayalde. The two were united in marriage and they returned to the states to complete his military career at Malmstrom Air Force Base. He then worked as an air traffic controller for the Great Falls International Airport. He later retired after three decades of service as an air traffic controller.

Howard was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Being from Wisconsin, he was a lifelong Green Bay Packer fan. He was also a member of the Wisconsin Synod of the Lutheran Church.

Howard is survived by his wife, Precy Clodfelter; daughters Michelle Clodfelter-Elrod of Colorado Springs and Kristine Orion of Connecticut; numerous brothers and sisters; and grandchildren Mikhaila and Sebastian.

We have fond memories of meeting you and your family at Lake Inez. Precy taught us all how to catch and cook crayfish. The kids all enjoyed each other and we enjoyed getting to know you for that short time when we were young. We are sorry for your loss. Peter and Cheryl Marchi
