Joe grew up fishing, hunting, camping, arrowhead hunting and spending summers in Monarch, helping to build the family cabin. He loved dancing and singing, Karaoke and was a self-taught harmonica and spoons player. Joe continued to enjoy the outdoors, going on long drives with Diane and his little dog, "Fast Eddy." Joe loved to spend time telling jokes and stories to all who would listen. He loved to make people laugh.

We would like to express our sincere sympathy to Diane,Eddy and the Skovron Family on Joe's passing. We will miss Joe's smiling face and all his many stories and adventures. He would always stop by our cabin in Monarch and house in town and always brightened our day. It's sad that we will never see that happen again. I considered Joe like a little brother that I never had. Our dog Labybird really liked Joe and Joe liked her. We are having a Mass said in memory of Joe on Tuesday, Sept. 15th at 8am at Our Lady of Lourdes church in Great Falls. If you would like to attend , please do so. God Bless You All.

To the entire Skovron crew;
I was out of town the day the news of Joe's passing was in the paper....I was cutting mom's grass and she told me. After reading all of the wonderful tributes, I don't know where to begin or end. Except to say that there are so many shared memories with the families. The ties have always been there so please don't hesitate to call any of us. Ronda, Annah, Raeann and families.

Dear Aunt Sue, Family and Diane:
My heart is with all of you during this time. Joey was a special soul and will be missed by many. I will always remember him sitting in Grandma's kitchen with that big smile of his telling a joke or playing the spoons singing a song. I know he has already been welcomed at the big table with all those who have gone before him. Stay strong and find comfort in the heartfelt words by all those that Joey has touched in his short time on earth.

I love all of you so much and will keep you in my prayers.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Joe's family. We were shocked and amazed when we read about Joe this morning in the Tribune. He was always a favorite employee of ours during the years owned Diamond Bar X Guest Ranch. We loved him dearly. I can still hear his laugh. His fun nature made him enjoyable to have on the ranch. Everyone who met him liked him. He was so good with the kids that came for Kids Kamp and people who came for trail rides. He was great around horses. He was great help in the hunting camp. We have so many great memories of Joe.

To Joe and his family: We grew up together in GF, and although we didn't know each other real well, our fathers, Chuck, and Marv Barker, were good friends and business partners for many years. I was (am) shocked to learn of this news about Joe. I'm truly sorry and saddened. I can only hope Joe is in a much better place and free of any type of pain or discomfort. I also hope his mom, Sue, and Diane, and his brothers, and all of his friends and other family members will have their suffering eased as soon as possible. Joe, may God take your soul and give you eternal peace, rest, and happiness. And may the thoughts of your new home with God provide relief and comfort to those staying behind in grief. Joe, we will start-up a new conversation, with our dads, on the other side. Save a place for me, ok? Your eternal friend, Darryl Barker, GF, MT
