Kenneth Campbell Obituary

Kenneth Duncan Campbell

Fort Collins, CO —Kenneth Duncan Campbell, 85, of Fort Collins, CO went home to be with the Lord on August 16, 2014 after battling Dementia for several years. "Kenny", son of Murdo "Duff" and Elizabeth Campbell, is survived by his loving wife Sylvia (Schulz) Campbell, daughters Karen Ramsay, (David), Laura Huser (Richard), Brenda Campbell, son Craig Campbell (Kim), grandchildren Cameron, Duncan, Elizabeth (Nicholas), Michael, Emery, Mandi (Andrew), Chandler, Chase, Corbin and great-grandson Ashten. Kenny is reunited with his brothers Donald and Tom, and is survived by his brother Murdo, and many relatives in Scotland. Born and raised in Great Falls, Montana, Kenny with his brothers shared a passion for football, which they played together in High School and College. Kenny earned All-American honors while playing football at the University of Montana, where he also received his degree in Journalism. The University of Montana always held a special place in Kenny's heart, as this was also where he met Sylvia, his bride of 59 years. After college, Kenny served in the U.S. Army as an Intelligence Officer in Frankfurt Germany. Upon their return to the United States, Kenny and Sylvia raised their family in Lakewood, Colorado, where they resided for nearly 50 years. Kenny worked for Mountain Bell for 20 years before beginning a career in commercial real estate, retiring from Coldwell Banker in 2004. Kenny cherished the summers he shared with his family and his brothers' families at the cabin they built with their father, Duff, in Lincoln, Montana where many "CamJams", and fishing expeditions were enjoyed by all. Kenny's love for life was contagious with his great smile, happy singing and forever lasting sense of fun. Thinking of Kenny, one can't help but smile, as the joyous memories of him are endless. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the Archdiocese of Denver Mortuary - Mount Olivet Cemetery, 12801 West 44th Ave Wheat Ridge, CO. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in honor of Ken Campbell to: Alzheimer's Association -Colorado Chapter 415 Peterson St. Fort Collins, CO 80524

Oh dear Campbell family. These last few years have been quite a journey. So glad to be a tiny part of Kenny's life. This picture will be held in our hearts. Vibrant, witty, fun, smiley, mischievious and loving. Take the best part of his legacy and pass it on. We loved Kenny and we love each of you dearly. Brad and Theresa Fightmaster

Dear Sylvia,
We are so sad to hear about Ken's passing. We so enjoyed visiting with him during his daily walks to the corner and him telling us "it's a great day for golf!"
Love,
