Patricia Monahan Obituary

KELSO, WASH. - Patricia "Pat" Monahan, 70, of Kelso, Wash., formerly of Great Falls, a stay-at-home mom who worked at Northwest Bank Great Falls when her four boys grew older, died on Friday, July 13, at St. John's Medical Center in Longview, Wash.

At Pat's request, there will not be a funeral service, but there will be a family celebration of her life later this summer.

Pat was born in Anaconda, on Jan. 27, 1942, to Norman and Virginia Vaughn.

Pat married Johnny Monahan, of Anaconda on Feb. 10, 1958, at St. Peter's Church. They raised four boys, Dale, Mickey, Gary and Don, in Anaconda and Great Falls. Johnny was an ironworker in Great Falls.

Pat and Johnny, a lifelong ironworker, moved to Kelso in 2004 to be closer to their sons, Dale, Mickey and Gary, who all live in Portland, Ore. Don, retired from the U.S. Marine Corps, lives with his family in Huntsville, Ala.

Pat Monahan is survived by her husband, Johnny; sons Dale, Mickey, Gary (Sheila) and Don (Kim) Monahan; six grandchildren.

The family requests that you send a donation to a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
