IDAHO FALLS, Idaho - Former northcentral Montana resident Tess (Snow) Peck, 84, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, died of natural causes Monday at an Idaho assisted-living center.
Services were Saturday at the Woodruff LDS 2nd Ward. Graveside services and burial are 11 a.m. Monday in Lewistown City Cemetery.
Tess passed away on Jan. 10, 2011, at Lincoln Court Assisted Living Center. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.
Tess was born May 8, 1926, in Brigham City, Utah, to Robert Wilson "Knox" Snow and Mildred Emma Michaelis Snow. She was a graduate of Box Elder High School.
She married Walter Hyer "Bee" Peck on April 15, 1946, in Brigham City. Their marriage was solemnized on Jan. 9, 1947, in the Logan LDS Temple. They made their home in Garneill, Mont., for 23 years, and Lewistown, Mont., for 14 years.
Walter preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1984. Tess moved to Idaho Falls in 1985, to be closer to family. She maintained a beautiful home until health issues required her to move in August 2010.
After high school, Tess worked as a telephone operator in Brigham City. She was fully involved with the ranch operations in Montana until they retired and moved to Lewistown. She then spent many years working as a bookkeeper and in sales at McDonald's Clothing Store. She enjoyed being a mother and homemaker, and delighted in the title "Grammy."
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a seminary teacher, in leadership positions working with the youth and in children's organizations. She was an exceptional teacher. She was a temple volunteer for 11 years.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Tess enjoyed doll-making and collecting, needlework, gardening and quilting. She collected angels and unicorns. She enjoyed being a leader for Girl Scouts and 4-H. Throughout her life, she was significantly involved in civic and community organizations and functions.

Connie's and my sentiments and feelings, though heartfelt are on the selfish side... there was a time when Tess wasn't on the earth and that time has now come again... we're just glad we were here when she was. She exemplified the Saviour in ways few ever have and we got to be there to see and learn from her great example. Love you Pecks. Connie and Shane Roberts, Utah

I have such fond memories of Tess from my childhood and her kindnesses to me and my family. She will be missed, but I know she is with loved ones and friends who have missed her just as much.

It is with sorrow that I read of the passing of sweet Tess! She and Bishop touched my life in so many ways. Just this past month I packed up two beautiful blue gingham dolls made by Tess' loving hands. I shared my love and memories of Tess with my 20 year old daughter, who is the proud owner of the dolls all these years later. How happy I am that she and the Bishop are once again together. May each of you find peace and comfort in your memories of this righteous woman and the legacy she leaves behind.
