Great Falls - Ted R. Olszewski, 90, passed away of natural causes June 19, 2021 in Great Falls, MT.

There will be a service at the Turner Gym, Turner MT on June 26, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Wing Cemetery, Hogeland MT. There will be a Vigil at 7:00 PM Friday June 25, 2021 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Hogeland.

Ted was born July 12, 1930 in Havre, MT to his parents John V. and Florence Olszewski, of Hogeland. Ted graduated in Hogeland from high school in 1948. While he was going to school he worked at the Jackson General Merchandise Store. He worked at the Equity Co-op in Harlem MT and then managed the Equity Co-op in Hogeland.

Ted married Mary Ann (Woeppel) on July 22, 1950 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Hogeland. In 1951, during the Korean war, he enlisted into the Air Force. In 1956, Ted and Mary Ann moved to the family farm that his grandparents homesteaded in 1914. During the winter months he attended NMC. In 1958 he worked at Eddie's Bakery in Great Falls during the winter while farming during the summer. He did this for 4 years. In the early 1960's he received the contract for the rural postal route for Hogeland.

Ted and Mary Ann purchased a farm in Frontier, Sask. Canada in 1974. Shortly after that he got his private pilots license and bought a plane. Ted loved to fly over the crops and the countryside, he stopped flying at the age 80.

Ted's love for his family, the farm, and his strong faith was an inspiration to his loved ones. He lived his life with high values and morals.

He belonged to many organizations: American Legion, Hogeland-Turner Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, and was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Great Falls.

He served as a board of director for: Equity Co-op, Security State Bank and the Big Flat Electric Co-op.

In 2011, Ted and Mary Ann purchased a home in Great Falls, MT for the winter months but always went back to the farm for the farming season.

Ted is survived by his wife of 70 years Mary Ann Olszewski, of Great Falls, MT, Son Gary Olszewski, Hogeland MT, Daughter, Mary Lou Olszewski, Wichita, KS, Son Pat (Brenda) Olszewski, Lethbridge, AB, Daughter Teddi Olszewski (Jeff Bankman) Northampton, MA.

Grandsons: Ryan (Josie) Olszewski, Danny Connor, Nicholas Connor, Justin Olszewski, Stefan Johnson, Spencer Johnson. Granddaughters: Alyssa Connor and Jade Sewell. 10 great grandchildren. Siblings: Jackie Kranz, Great Falls, MT, John (Alice) Olszewski, Gresham, OR, Albert (Dolores) Olszewski, Great Falls, MT, Rosemary Lewis, Dallas, TX. Many cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents John V. and Florence Olszewski, Brother and Sister in-law Jerry and Ann Olszewski, Brother in-law Irvine Kranz.

The family asks that memorials be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Holy Spirit Catholic Church or your personal choice in lieu of flowers.

Dear Mary Ann and Family Ted is a man of great honor. When you live a life with such integrity , love of the lord his wife and his family there´s nothing but respect and reverence that I share in his honor. Mary Ann is an incredible life partner and wife I´m so glad she had such a large family to support and comfort her at this tender time. You are Loved and respected beyond measure . Ted is with our Heavenly Father now and I´m very sureTed is being rewarded for the excellent job he accomplished living an exemplary life Gods peace be with Mary Ann and family.
