John McAughey Obituary

John B. McAughey, born to William H. & Helen G. (Ostrander) McAughey on December 28, 1937. He grew up in Pocatello, Idaho, graduating from Pocatella High School. John served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1960. In 1958 he found the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He married Patsy S. Archer of Sapulpa, Oklahoma in Miami, Oklahoma in 1958. Prior to discharge from the Navy, he was given a commendation for an invention of test equipment. He attended Idaho State University and was employed by the Bell system for 21 years. He owned and operated Mellin Office Supply for 11 years and then went to work for the Greeley-Evans District for 7 years after which he retired for the last time. He is survived by his wife and 4 children; Kimbra Sue Kline of Boise, Idaho, John M. McAughey of Greeley, Yvette Alberts of Greeley, Colorado and Joseph M. McAughey of Grand Junction, Colorado, his brother Rev. Dan McAughey of North Augusta, South Carolina, a sister JoAnn Allard of Edmonds, Washington. He is proceeded in death by his parents, his sister Pat Marley and brother William D. McAughey.
