Christopher Severson Obituary
Green Bay - Christopher R. "Chris" Severson, 43, passed Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on Dec. 9, 1974, in Clintonville, WI to Roy and Fae (Rew) Severson.
Chris graduated from Clintonville High School in 1993, he went on to UW-Green Bay where he earned his degree in Business Administration and Marketing and was proud of his time as a UWGB cheerleader. On Aug. 21, 1999, he married his high school sweetheart, Tracy Wisnefske. Chris had a long and successful career in sales due to his hard work ethic, which carried throughout every aspect of his life. He genuinely thought of his clients as his friends.
Chris loved being with his family and friends, he truly treasured fishing with the boys. He cherished time spent getting Taylor on the bus each morning and taking her for a donut on her days off of school. Chris looked forward to the annual family vacations up north and the guys fishing trip. He really had a complete love of life and always kept a positive outlook.
Chris is survived by his wife, Tracy; their twin sons, Keegan and Gavin; their daughter, Taylor; his mother, Fae Severson; sisters, Ann (Tim) Zilch, Barbara (James) Foster, and Danielle (friend, Richie) Severson; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Connie and Larry Wisnefske; a sister-in-law, Shelly (Scott) Zwirschitz; a brother-in-law, Nick (friend, Amy) Wisnefske; 11 nieces and nephews; and many friends and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Severson; and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Friends may call at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1731 St. Agnes Dr., Green Bay, from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Friday. The Funeral Service will follow at the church, at 5:30 p.m., with Rev. Scott Malme officiating. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Green Bay Oncology, and especially to Dr. Ryan, Nicole Spaeth, and Eric Dellamater. They would also like to thank Unity Hospice, especially Cindy, Tina, Laura, and Dr. Koch.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Chris's name.

Tracy - So sorry for your loss. I will miss Chris and his "can do" attitude, cheerfulness - well just everything. He was a highlight to my day when we interacted. I always looked forward to having him come to solve a problem with my credit card machine. He as a special person to me!

I am so sorry for your loss. You and your children have been in my thoughts and prayers these past several days. I got to know Chris from when I worked at Prevea Clinic. I could always count on a smile when he walked through those doors. He was truly one of a kind. It sounds like you were quite a loving nurse to him during those difficult days. You two were such a cute couple. You are a strong woman. I was one of those friends through work. I didn't know Chris long but when he wasn't dealing with work he was gushing about his family. It was very obvious how much he loved them. So sorry for your loss.

I am shocked to hear of the passing of chris.. He
worked for me at the cville dq many years ago
and I still have fond memories of him. He was such a cheerful and upbeat person that you could not help
smiling when he was around. tracy and children I am so sorry for your loss. The world has lost a special person.

Chris was such a special guy. In business it is often rare to have someone who always, every single time, went above and beyond to make sure my account and biz needs were taken care of. I'm heartbroken for Tracy and the kids. We know Chris because he handled our credit card processing. We loved Chris because his visits were a blast. I'm finding it hard to explain the integrity this man had. Respect, kindness, fun, love, generosity, problem solving, vulnerability, the list goes on. He was just a joy to be around. He made everybody better. I was talking to Chris about the loss of a family dog, and thoughts of replacing him. He asked if we had any names picked out yet, and we had not even thought about it. So over about 6 months of visits and calls, Chris offered suggestions and we decided together that the devil reincarnated as a female terrier baby dog can only be named Roxanne. And we sang the song together every conversation since. I will never forget that. And that will be her name when we find her. I will miss you my friend. Godspeed.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I want to offer my condolence as my husband was also diagnosed with cancer several months ago. We were very fortunate that he is now in remission after under going chemo and radiation for several months.
I only met Chris once when he was here setting up the credit card transaction machine for me. He was making sure that I understood everything before he leave. Never forget him because he was a very kind soul.

I am so blessed to have known Christopher..I was his nurse but he made it so easy to be a friend and he shared wonderful memories of his life and his family. He gave wonderful ideas of what a family should do to "get away and relax". This is a person I knew that was not always thinking of himself but of others. I learned a lot from him. Tracy, your are his rock, his love of his life and that showed. Tracy, you are an amazing wife, mother and an amazing person for what you had done for him...Please take some time for yourself. I want to say to you, "You are an amazing wife and mother, and I am so proud of how you became a nurse yourself caring for your wonderful husband". You kept up that comfort and style he was used to and "wow"...I am so blessed to see that..... He will be missed missed by many. Grieve and always now there is not experiation date on that.
