Suamico - Dennis John Peot, 79, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020. He was born on September 15, 1940 in Little Suamico to Robert and Leone (Heim) Peot.

Dennis grew up on the family farms in Little Suamico. On October 17, 1959, he married Gail Gritt at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Dennis is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gail Gritt; sons, Mark (Sue) Peot, Steve (Laura) Peot, Tracy (Brenda) Peot, and Paul (Christine) Peot; 13 grandchildren: Logan and Landon Peot; Derek Marino; Alex (Chris) Calawerts; Andi (Mike) Cellucci; Grace Peot; Jennifer (Adam) Kelm; Janie (Josh) McKeon; Spencer (Erica), Carly (Greg), and Ryan (Tilly) Peot; Ian and Elliott Peot; two great-grandchildren, Nora Peot and Charlotte Kelm; his siblings, Robert (Melodee) Peot, Jane White, and Jean Peot; brother-in-law, Gordon Gritt; sisters-in-law, Sue Gritt, Missy Gritt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law, John and Carol Gritt; brothers-in-law, Glenn, Gary, Gregg Gritt, Richard White; and sisters-in-law, Gloria Kruse and Gladys Dehn.

Sending sympathy and prayers for Gail and the Boys and their families. I worked for several years with Dennis. He was such a nice man, easy to talk to and get along with. He crosses my mind occasionally and still will for sure. Peace Be With You

Dennis worked his tail off. I lived next door, and Paul was my best friend growing up. I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish I had an old image of him to share, but this popped up in my Facebook feed of the 4 neighbor boys Paul, Troy and Travis, and Jonathan.
