Eleanor "Ellie" DeWinter
Green Bay - Eleanor M. "Ellie" DeWinter, 85, Green Bay, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. She was born on May 15, 1935 in De Pere to the late Joseph and Ann (Vanden Heuvel) Nachtwey.
On December 6, 1969 Ellie was united in marriage to Donald DeWinter in Green Bay.
Ellie enjoyed playing cards, bingo, cribbage, gambling, spending time with family and friends. She loved Christmas shopping and trips to the thrift store. Ellie worked at Ace Baking for 20 years before her retirement in 1995. She was a member of the Moose Lodge for many years.
Ellie is survived by her children, Rose (Steve) Wassenberg, Debbie (Don) Johnson, Cathy Lance, Timothy Nachtwey, Gary (Mary Hanold) DeWinter, Keith DeWinter (Amy Burkland), Holly (Michael) Rymer; step-son, Donald DeWinter Jr.; grandchildren, Tammy Ferron, Gary Ferron, Michelle LeCleir, Matt Wassenberg, Jason Wassenberg, Amy Johnson, Nicole Bardouche, Dawn Smith, Raymond Doxtator, Buddy Nachtwey, Jessica DeWinter, Stephanie DeWinter, Ella Rymer, Haley Rymer, Tiffany Thompson, Erin Romens; 15 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; brother, Joseph (Carol) Nachtwey Jr.; brother-in-law, Leo Weber; daughter-in-law, Lisa Nachtwey; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald DeWinter; daughter, Linda Nachtwey; son, Robert Nachtwey; grandchild, Marie (Nachtwey) Laurent; sisters, Rose Mary Nachtwey and Marilyn Weber; brothers, Sylvester Nachtwey and Raymond Nachtwey.
