Mickey Cereda passed away at home with her family around her, at the age of 79.
She struggled with pain for many years. She was a woman of strength, courage and attitude. Mickey also had a wonderful sense of humor. She was a beloved, caring wife, mother and grandmother.
Mickey was born in Bemond, Iowa, moved to Fairfield in 1945, and graduated from Armijo High School in 1946. She was married to her best friend and the love of her life for 58 years.
Mickey is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Art; son, Jerry Cereda of Caldwell Idaho; daughter, Bunny Patton (Mike) of Fairfield; daughter, Billie Flannery (Dan) of Athol, Idaho; son, Frank Cereda (Gail) of Fairfield; granddaughters, Stacey, Chrissy, Tricia and Jody; grandsons, Frank, Justin and John; and great-grandchildren, Marcus, Jacob, Isabella and Madison. She also leaves a sister, Earlene Haagensen of Susanville.
A graveside service will be private, at the request of the family, but friends and family are invited to the home of Art Ceredas in Fairfield at 1 p.m. Wednesday for a remembrance of Mickey.

Your Mother will be missed by all, she was a wonderful lady. I remember her kindness from when I was in grade school and then I was lucky enough to reconnect again when I was an adult. My prayers are with you all.

Billie I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I remember when we were pregnant and I'd waddle over to your mom's. We had such fun and laughed so much. I will always remember your mom's laugh and her kindness.
