Gerald Bruegge Obituary
Gerald farmed his lifetime on the family farm. He also drove truck for Wickes Lumber, Rentmeester Oil and Christensen Mills. Throughout his life, he enjoyed baseball, dart ball, bowling, hunting and trap shooting. He took pride in his garden and the vegetables it produced. His joy was cutting lawn with his rider and riding the 4-wheeler out to the woods to feed birds/animals and watch nature. Gerald was very active in his church, especially in caring for the Lark Cemetery.
Gerald was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children; daughter Beverly (Terrance) Riemer, daughter Darlene (Mike) Smits, daughter-in-law Linda Bruegge, son Daniel (Gail) Bruegge, daughter Debra (Keith) Ott, son David (Kristen) Bruegge and daughter Becky (Gary) Oeder; grandchildren Amy (Frank) Riemer, Nate (Kathi) Riemer, Stephanie (Ryan) Remondini, Kim Smits, Jennifer Smits, Danielle (Jordyn) Pues, Brad (Nicki) Bruegge, Brian (Megan) Bruegge, Bethany (Andy) Carlson, Cory Ott, Kyle Ott, Emily Ott, Kristy Thirion, Aaron Oeder and Amanda Oeder; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice; son, Dennis; sister Rosella and brother-in-law Jim Allison; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Iris and Walter Ziemer, Norma and Ervin Kuchenbecker and Rayfield and Adeline Schneider; and many other family members.
Visitation at Larkwood Chapel (formerly Lark Church), 7019 Dickinson Rd, Lark, Sunday from 1-5pm, with the funeral service at 5pm. Chaplin Michael Williams officiating. Burial at Lark Cemetery following the service. Family & friends to gather at Morrison Town Hall following the service/burial for food and fellowship.

Gerald was a great worker in the church. He gave and gave never complaining about things only smiling and looking for the good in life. I remember his supportive friendship and his parents who were also great workers in the church. My prayers go out to the family and rejoice that he has come home to be with the church family that he supported for so many years and have awaited him the other side of the vail.

We are so sorry for your loss of your Dad. The Rentmeester family have many fond memories of your parents. Everyone was always greeted with your Dad's warm smile at the gas station,such a pleasant man he was. We pray that the many wonderful memories you have of your parents bring you peace, strength and comfort in the days ahead.

Gerald and Eunice were very special friends and neighbors. We enjoyed every visit and laughed with them often. Both of them will be missed greatly.

My Prayers to out to Gerald's family, he was a good and peaceful man whose hard work, carrying nature was a gift of God. As I sit and remember him I am touched by his willingness to roll up his sleeves, pitching in and keeping the church moving forward. He was a blessing to work with when I pastored at Lark

Our deepest sympathy to the Bruegge Family. Your father was a joy to work with at Rentmeester Oil & Sporting Goods. I will always remember that time. May all of you find comfort in the loving memories you have of your Mother & Dad, cause they were very neat people to have known.
