Gordon Vanidestine Obituary

Vanidestine II, Gordon H.

Gordon "Gordy" H. Vanidestine, II, 41, passed away peacefully at home late Monday evening, February 25, 2013, with his wife at his side. Born on April 5, 1971 in Milwaukee, he is the son of Barbara (Koper) Zirbel and the late Gordon Vanidestine. Gordy was an outdoorsman who loved riding his Harley. He will be remembered most as a loving husband, dad, son, brother and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey; son, Gordon, III; canine companion, Ruger; mother, Barbara (Jim) Zirbel; brothers and sisters, Lisa (Mark) Turrittin, Wesley (Trinny) Miller, Connie (Thomas "T.J.") Johnson, Edward Miller; step-siblings, Carla (Jason) Richmond, Laura (Dan) VandenBusch, Chris (Renee) Zirbel; father and mother-in-law, Roger and Ardis Kuske; two sisters-in-law; Amy Kuske and Ashley (Jeremy) Petersen; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Billodeau; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Friends may call at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird Street, Monday from 3-6:30pm. In keeping with Gordy's wishes, there will be no public funeral service. Visit www.malcorefuneralhome.com to send an online condolence to the family.

In lieu of other expression of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home.

Gordy's family extends a special thank you to the caring staff of Heartland HC&H, especially, Eric; Dr. Gerald Bayer and his staff; and to all his co-workers at American Custom Converting.

Gordy and I grew up together on Stuart Street. I don't remember how it started or why, but I always called him "cousin". Such a sweet and funny guy. You will be missed, cousin.
