Janette M. "Jackie" Denfeld

Wausau - Janette M. "Jackie" Denfeld, 78, died Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Unity Hospice in DePere, WI.

She was born January 17, 1940 in Wausau, daughter of the late Lawrence and Imgard (Ballerstein) Springer. On May 14, 1960 she married Alan Denfeld at Holy Name Catholic Church, Wausau, WI. He preceded her in death on February 11, 2003.

For more than 17 years Janette worked at K-Mart in Wausau in the Millinery Department. She loved fashion and helping others accessorize. She enjoyed many years at the cabin in Harshaw, WI fishing on Birch Lake. She participated in many Halloween parties and took pride in the costumes she handcrafted and won first prize on! Other interests include: Country-Western music, sewing, shopping, wood crafts, vacationing in Texas and collecting angels and cherubs.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Denfeld, Wausau and her children, Lilah (Davis) and Ellice (Eddie); Tammy (Randy) Barthels, Rhinelander, and their children, Rebecca (Nathan), Adam and Brad; Loralyn Malone, Stevens Point, and her children, Stephanie, Jennifer and Lilly; and Sheryl (Chris) Loos, Port St. Lucie, FL and their children, Brittney, Zachary, Randy and Jaden; eight great grandchildren; her siblings, Phyllis Riles, Orlando, FL, Sandy (Norm) Randl, Combined Locks, WI and James (Helen) Springer, Wausau, WI; and special friend, Rick Wilinski, Freedom, WI.

Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Rosentreter and her brother, Lawrence Springer Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.
