Jon Bryfczynski Obituary

Jon Steven Bryfczynski

Green Bay - Jon was called home to Heaven at the young age of 49. He died on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay after a short battle with cancer. His loving wife Tammy was by his side until the end.

Born April 29, 1969 in Green Bay WI, to Carol Jean (Courchaine) Bryfczynski and Gerald Paul Bryfczynski, Jon was the loving older brother of Bryan and Kevin. Jon was raised to be a man of Catholic faith who trusted in God's plan.

On July 25, 1997 Jon married Tammy (Ropson). Together, they created a beautiful family with their four sons, Michael, Ryan, Connor, and Evan. Jon's boys were the light of his life and he was so proud of each of them. He wished to instill in them the values he was taught. Jon was happiest when he was teaching his boys something or when they were by his side on a project. He shared his love of music with them and enjoyed attending their band concerts at school.

Jon graduated from Pulaski High School in 1987, then attended Milwaukee School of Engineering. To those who knew him, his knowledge was outstanding. If there was a Master's Degree in "Hand's On- Life Experience", Jon would have earned it. Naturally mechanically gifted, most of what he knew he learned from doing and this prepared him for any situation or problem.

He was the Technical Manager at the Green Bay Chuck E Cheese's, and kept all the games and the store running smoothly. In his spare time Jon loved helping his brother, Bryan where he was always tackling a project. Jon operated Hit Man Mobile DJ's and was a local wedding/event DJ. In his youth, some may remember Jon as the DJ at clubs like Club Copa and Hoops.

As his family struggles to make sense of his death, the best way to honor Jon is to live the lessons he taught us each and every day. Take care of your things. Put family first. Be friendly. Be the go-to guy. And above all, enjoy your days with those you love.

Jon will be sadly missed by his loving family; his wife Tammy, his sons; Michael, Ryan, Connor, and Evan, his parents; Carol Jean and Jerry, his in-laws Daniel and Lorna Ropson of Luxemburg, his brothers; Bryan (Maureen), and Kevin (Carla), his brother-in-law Rick (Tracy) Ropson, his nieces; Morgan, Megan, Ally, Paige, Katelyn, Molly, Emily, and Abby, and nephews; Spencer, John, and Ethan, and great niece Harper. His family was large and he will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jon's warm shoulder and lap will be missed by his best girl Chloe, his beloved dog.

Jon's circle of friends and family included his best friend, and confidant since kindergarten, Steve Jarosinski and his family. Cousins Tom and Sue Bryfczynski who offered much appreciated support and love to Jon and Tammy. Special thanks to family friends Taylor, Kelly, Jason, Cory and Tony.

Jon is preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Bellin Hospital who all took such great care of Jon during this journey. Jon and Tammy always felt well loved by the caring staff on the 4th floor. The family would like to thank Unity Hospice and The Cancer Team for their empathy, care and compassion. A special thank you to Dr. Amy James and Dr. Kevin Mortara for their expertise and guidance throughout this short and difficult journey.

Visitation will be held on Saturday December 1, 2018 from 3 PM - 6PM at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay, A service celebrating Jon's life will follow at 6 PM in the funeral home with Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski O.F.M. officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe page has been set up in Jon's name for his family to help with medical bills and expenses.
