Ken was a graduate of Green Bay West High School, Class of '49. He was a standout football player, and received a scholarship from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where he was named Most Promising Player as a Freshman. Ken never got to finish college however, as he was called to serve in the Korean Conflict where he flew as a pilot off the aircraft carrier Princeton. After his return to the United States, Ken was united in marriage to the love of his life, Ivalee Fuson, on October 15, 1955, in Richmond, VA. Together, they shared 56 wonderful years, enjoying their retirement years taking fishing trips, wintering in Texas, and watching the grandkids, before Ivalee's passing on July 15, 2012.

Ken also enjoyed many sports, playing football for the Manitowoc Chiefs, hockey for the Green Bay Hornets, and softball for Wally Lom's. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as golf. In his later years, Ken enjoyed watching his grandchildren play soccer and wrestle. Ken was employed at the former James River, Day Street facility, for 34 years until his retirement in 1989. He was a charter member of Bay City Baptist Church, as it got its start in his living room on Chestnut Street.

Survivors include his children, Mike (Debbie) Woosencraft, Scott (Nicole) Woosencraft; grandchildren, Bryce and Chase Woosencraft; step-grandchildren, Eric (Amy) Spratlin, Adam (Christina) Spratlin, Aaron (Liz) Spratlin; step-great-grandchildren, Parker, Aiden, Carter, Zach, Brianna, Avery, Ty, and Zola. He is further survived by his nephews, Tom (Donna) Woosencraft, Jim (Jane) Woosencraft, Bill (Bonnie) Woosencraft, and John Woosencraft; nieces, Donna (Roger) Truckey, Patti Dahlstrom, Mary Woosencraft, and Cynthia Reinsel; sisters-in-law, Leila Woosencraft, and Mable Boughan; many other relatives, and friends.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George J. Woosencraft; a sister-in-law, Charlotte; brothers-in-law, Pat (Mary) Fuson, Alvin (Harriet) Fuson; as well as father and mother-in-law, Edwin (Mellie) Fuson.

We got to know Ken and Ivy when they were Winter Texans at the Texan Mobile Park in McAllen. It was a sad day when they left the park. We kept in communication with them as they returned twice a year to our dinner gatherings usually at the RiverRail at Shiocton. Our condolences go to the family.

My husband Art and I knew Ken and Ivy during our Winter stays in McAllen, Texas. They were the most kind and friendly people you could ever meet. We missed them a lot when they left the park. Our sincere sympathies go out to the family - God bless you all and help you through this sad time.

So sorry to hear about Ken's passing. He did lead a good life and seemed to enjoy it all. We went to Highschool together and I've seen him several times at reunions. He was a good man.
