Lois (Puyleart) Blanz

Green Bay - Lois (Puyleart) Blanz, 70, was taken to be with the Lord, May 9, 2021, at Aurora Hospital with her two sisters at her side. She was born on October 12, 1950, in Green Bay to the late Harold Puyleart and Anna (Carslay) Puyleart. Lois took great pride in caring for others. She started as a CNA as a teenager at Manor Care, later she moved on to work at Demes Nursing Home and then finally retired as Head Nurse at Americana Nursing Home. In 1995 she began taking care of her brother-in-law Jim at his home for the next 7 years. Lois loved camping when we were young; going to Eagle River and wintering in Florida with Gary. About 2007 her health started to go downhill with diabetes, heart problems, kidney issues and she ended up in a wheelchair. Even then when her mom had a stroke in 2011, Lois took her in and cared for her until the day she passed. If for no other reason, Lois will be remembered for her kind heart and her love for all animals. My son Donnie comforted me when I texted him of her passing and his response was, "Stay strong mom, just think, she joined her mom on Mother's Day." God Bless our sister Lois, we will always Love you.

Lois will be sadly missed by her beloved husband, Gary Blanz; stepson, Danny Jr. (Holly) Buss; step-grandson, Danny III (Special Friend Madeline) Buss; sisters, Lynn (Steve) Langenberg, Lorraine "Stormi" (Mike) Whetung; many nieces and nephews; Danny Jr. Buss, Tommy Buss, Brian Weaver, Mike (Misty) Whetung, Sherri Whetung, Donald ( fiancé Jackie Novy) Whetung, Steve (Cari) Langenberg, Jason (Alissa) Langenberg, Jeremy (Special Friend Amanda) Langenberg, and Jenny (Mike) Meyer, sisters-in-law, Debbie Puyleart, Dolores (Blanz) Miller, Jayne (Blanz) Irlbacker; brothers-in-law, Dennis Charles (Margie) Blanz, Denny Blanz, Terry Blanz, and Steve Blanz.

In addition to her parents Lois was preceded in death by her first husband, Warren Russell; sisters, Lucille (Ron) Kurowski, and LaVerne "Bunny" (Dan) Buss; brother, Leonard Puyleart and his daughter Jessica Puyleart; father and mother-in-law, Ludwig and Gertrude Blanz; brothers-in-law, Paul Blanz, Jim Blanz, Richard Miller, and Ray Irlbacker.

Visitation will be held at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., On Friday, May 14, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the eulogy read at 7:30 p.m. Lois will be entombed at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.

The family extends a warm thank you to her special friends that have been there forever, Sue Naniot and Steve Blanz, a special niece, Jennifer Meyer, special great-nieces, Brittany Vanhulle and Deidra Whetung.

Our sincere sympathies to the entire family. Lois lived next door to us for years and a friendship was built. We regret not being able to attend due to a previous commitment. Rest in peace Lois.
