Mary Krause Obituary

Krause, Mary Ann

Mary Ann Krause, 70, Suamico, passed away at home on Thursday, January 30, 2014. She was born on Oct. 22, 1943 to the late Andrew and Violet (Johnson) Schmidt. Mary married Darwin Krause in Seymour on Nov. 4, 1967 and they enjoyed 46 wonderful years together. She retired as head cook at Bay Port High School and most enjoyed her home and family, playing cards, gardening, her cats, reading and being an avid Packer fan.

Survivors include her husband, Darwin; children, Pam (Lewins) (Gene) Krinke, Reeseville; Bert (Julie) Lewins, Green Bay; Robert (Karen) Krause, Oneida; stepson, Randy Lewins (Mary Hoem), Appleton; grandchildren, Kent Widen Jr., Brittany Lewins, Dennis Lewins Jr., Bert (B.J.) Lewins, Teri Lewins, Mark Krinke, Jodi Krinke, Logan Krause and Brady Krause; great grandchildren, Dakota, Jaylynn, Kalli, Alejandro, Juan and Dennis; brother and sisters, Gladys Mayberry; Clarence Schmidt; Gloria (Earl) Perrault; brother- in-law, Gerhardt Spietz ; and her pet cat, "Babes". Mary is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Lewins, first husband, Bertal Lewins; her parents; sister, Carol Grams; brothers-in-law, Robert Krause, Ed Grams, and Oscar Mayberry; sisters-in-law, Marlene Schmidt, Ruth Spietz and Rogene Spietz.

Family and friends may call at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, on Monday, Feb. 3 from 4 until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Natalie Kramer officiating. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice, Andy and the staff of Pfotenhauer Funeral Home, Pastor Natalie Kramer and her weekend caregiver, Christine, for all their care. A special thanks to her husband, Darwin, and her "angel", Tammy Lewins, who allowed Mary to spend her final days at home.

I am very sorry to hear of Mary's passing. She was extremely kind & always had a smile on her face. She was 1 of my favorite customers to wait on at Piggly Wiggly! She will be missed by many! Rest in peace, Mary! ??
