Robert Lindmark Obituary

Lindmark, Jr., Robert Eugene

Neenah - Robert Eugene Lindmark, Jr., 96, received the promise of eternal life on Saturday, April 29, 2017. He was born in Saint Paul, MN, on August 24, 1920, son of the late Robert and Anne (née: Domian) Lindmark.

Robert was united in marriage to the love of his life, the former Helen Naomi Rasmus, on June 9, 1940 in Iowa. Helen preceded him in death on January 1, 2012.

Robert spent his entire career in the optical profession. Robert proudly and faithfully served his country as a second-class petty officer for the United States Navy in the Pacific Theatre of World War II. He was the oldest member of the Elks Lodge in Marinette, WI. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. Robert scored three holes-in-one during his lifetime. He also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking. Robert was a technology buff and taught himself how to use the latest hardware from laptops to tablets. Above all, Robert loved his family and enjoyed every moment he could spend with everyone.

Robert leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Schaarie (Sante) Di Antoni, Pam (Tedd) Welch, Bob (Chris) Lindmark, Debbie (Vicente) Castellanos, Bill (Pat) Lindmark; 13 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Cleo Rasmus; and other relatives.

In addition to his parents and wife, Robert is preceded in death by his brother, Richard (Pat) Lindmark; and many other relatives.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017, 10:00am, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, Racine, with Rev. Dr. Warren D. Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00am until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Dover, WI.
