Robert (Bob) M. VanCampenhout
Green Bay - Robert (Bob) M. VanCampenhout, 87, Green Bay, died unexpectedly at home with Pat by his side on Friday, May 7, 2021. He was born in Green Bay on January 25, 1934 and graduated from East High School. He married Nancy Steeno in 1953 and they were married for 52 years. Nancy died on May 14, 2005. He was proud of his 43 years as a pipefitter/foreman at Northern Paper Mill. He enjoyed spending time with his family. His home of 67 years was a great comfort to him and he especially enjoyed spending time on his deck.
In 2006, he met Pat Strainis and together they experienced many travels. A few of his favorites were Las Vegas, Florida, Virginia and his first cruise to the Caribbean. They truly enjoyed their 15 years together realizing how fortunate they were to have found each other. He was a quiet, hardworking and gentle man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his children: Eric (Denise) VanCampenhout and Wendy (Keith) Kroening, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving him is his brother Donne (Nancy) VanCampenhout and nieces and nephews. Bob is further survived by his fiancée Pat Strainis and her children: Michelle (Tim) Wickman, Mike Strainis and Maureen (Brent) Van Horn and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, four siblings and daughters Vicky Delfeld and Lynn Chambers.
Special thanks to Bob's grandson Jason Kroening and his fiancée Tristin Tordeur for their caring and comfort throughout the years.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 12:30PM-2:15PM at the Fort Howard Mausoleum Chapel 1350 N. Military Ave Green Bay, WI. Prayer Service at 2:15PM with inurnment to follow. Simply Cremation is assisting the family. simplycremationgb.com
