Rosalie Babicky Obituary
Rosalie Babicky, age 79 of Suring, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017. She was born on December 5, 1937 to the late Emerald and Leona (Buschena) Reed in Brookfield, WI. Rosalie graduated from Hartford High School with the Class of 1955. Rosalie Reed married Walter Babicky on May 11, 1957. The couple traveled while Walter served in the military.
Rosalie started a band called Midnight Special and she loved playing music with her friends and family over the years. She owned and operated the Long Branch Saloon in Hintz, bartended at several other local bars and worked at Memline. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, playing guitar, and her chickens.
Rosalie is survived by her three children, Kenneth (Kris) Babicky of Breed, Jackie Miller of Gillett and Deven Babicky of Breed; her brother Vincent Reed of Montana and her mother-in-law Lucille Babicky of Random Lake, WI; grandchildren, Brian, Kyle, Ryan, Mandi, Gatlin, Colten (Abby) Tyler (Sam) and Rylie; great-grandchildren, Gage and Wyatt. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; her brother, Pete Reed.
Visitation will be held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 2 pm until 5 pm. Rosalie will be interred in Breed Union Cemetery at a later date. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be expressed at www.gruetzmacherfuneralhome.com
