Wilbur De Decker Obituary

Wilbur "Bill" De Decker, 90, Green Bay, passed away Jan. 30, 2012, at a local nursing home. Born on May 23, 1921, he is the son of the late Alex and Barbara De Decker. He married the former Katherine Raaths on Sept. 9, 1943, at St Francis Xavier Cathedral. After coming back from military service Bill worked at a steel mill in Chicago. He then worked at Green Bay Packaging for over 35 years before retiring. Bill belonged to Holy Name Dart Ball, and the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed golf with his co-workers at Green Bay Packaging and square dancing

Wilbur is survived by his wife of 68 years, Katherine; many nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, James "Jimmy" De Decker and Kenneth De Decker.

Visitation at MALCORE (West) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason Street, Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.

Katherine would like to extend a special thank you to Jean and Joanne. Also a special thanks to Peter for taking her to the nursing home to visit Bill.
