XENIA — Athena L. Roades, age 60, of Xenia, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021at Soin Medical Center. She was born in Xenia, on September 20, 1961 the daughter of Jack and Jessie (Stafford) Fullen. In addition to her parents, Athena was preceded in death by her brother: Willie Fullen. She is survived by her husband: Kirk D. Roades of Xenia; sons: Douglas (Nickie) Roades of Xenia; Travis Roades of Xenia; and Shawn (Angela) Roades of Dayton; grandchildren: Nicholas, Hailey, Chancellor and Scarlett; siblings: Sheryl (Ernie) Bowman of Spring Valley, OH; and Richard Fullen of Xenia; sister-in-law: Terry Fullen as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Athena graduated from Xenia High School and the Greene County Career Center. She had been the manager of Stan's Donuts on N. Detroit St. in Xenia for over 30 years, and enjoyed talking with all her regular customers. She was an active member of Pentecostal Apostolic Church in Dayton, and was a supportive minister's wife. She enjoyed vacationing to the mountains of Tennessee with her family, baking and spending time with her grandchildren. Services will be held 12 Noon Tuesday, October 19th at the Pentecostal Apostolic Church, 4927 Wild Rose Drive, Dayton with Pastor Jeremy Matheny officiating. Visitation will be held 11 AM Tuesday until the time of service at the church. She will be buried at Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
