XENIA — Betty M. Reed, age 72 of Xenia, OH passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021. She was born December 12, 1948 in Dayton, OH to the late Charles and Rose Weaver. Left to cherish Betty's memory are her daughters: Theresa Hilderbrand, Sandra (Terry) Henderson; son, Michael (Tammy) Reed; grandchildren: Crystal (Jon) Hart, Sierra Henderson, Travis Faler, Michael Reed II, Samantha Reed, Elizabeth Reed, Jonathan (Christina) Boatman, and Michele Johnson; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters: Nebeckie Green, and Becky Wooten; brother, Leonard Weaver; and several other relatives and friends. Betty was a real character. She was a hoot, who could always make you laugh. She was a loving, fun, independent gal, who appreciated a wide variety of interests. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, singing karoake, bonfires, arts and crafts, fishing, redneck waterslides, riding motorcycles, bowling, archery, of which she was a state champion for 2 years in a row, and making candy. She loved Elvis Presley, and Betty Boop. Most of all, Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Simpson T. Reed Jr., granddaughter, Valerie "Dani" Faler; and brothers: Charles Weaver, and James Weaver; and sister, Anna McGarrity. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek) where a funeral service celebrating Betty's life will follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Dayton National Cemetery. to leave a message of condolence for Betty's family, or to share a special memory, please visit www.newcomerdayton.com.

To my family and friends, you have my sincerest sympathies. I know this time can't be easy. I hope knowing that you have people how to lean on and who love you makes this a little more bearable. I know I miss her and regret not spend more time with her as I got older. Love you all
