Brenda McCoy Obituary
XENIA — Brenda McCormick McCoy, 78, of Huber Heights, died Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Laurelwood of Centerville. She was born October 24, 1942 in Xenia, the daughter of James Erwin and Lois Ann (Corbin) McCormick. Brenda retired from the Dayton Public School System where she taught English. She was a member of the United AME Church in Xenia, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the American Legion Post 776 Women's Auxiliary and a friend of New Season Ministry. Brenda is survived by her husband, William H. McCoy Sr.; sons, Darrick Crooks and Richard Crooks Jr.; step-son, William H. (Donna) McCoy II; step-daughter, Lashelle (Philip) Spencer; and grandson, William H. McCoy III. Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday July 30, 2021 at the Xenia AME Church, 286 E. Church Street, Xenia. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.mccolaughfuneralhome.com.
