JAMESTOWN — Carole E. Scott, age 85, of Jamestown, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022 at Jamestown Place Health & Rehab. She was born December 10, 1936 in Jamestown, the daughter of Edward and Margaret Pickering Irons. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, sons: Drew and Greg Scott; daughter-in-law: Lisa Gregory and her dear friend and companion: Dean Diffendorf. She is survived by her children: Brent (Val) Scott; twins: Lisa (David) Green and Erik (Joy) Scott; and Robyn (Mike) Curry; sister: Kathy Spriggs; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Carole graduated from Silvercreek High School in 1954. She had worked at the Jamestown Antique Mall and was a member of the Jamestown Historical Society. She had been a life-member of the Jamestown United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and active with their outreach program. She also enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Thursday, November 17th at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. She will be interred at Silvercreek Cemetery, Jamestown. Visitation will be held 10:30 AM Thursday until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Ohio Valley Hospice in Carole's memory. Online condolences may be made to the family @ www.mccolaughfuneralhome.com.
