XENIA - Elizabeth A. "Lizz" Studebaker, 83, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at Greene Memorial Hospital. She was born August 11, 1931 to Frank C. and Catherine Foley Moorman. For many years, she was a successful businesswoman, dedicated to and active in the community, working and volunteering in public relations and advertising. She owned her own business; Elizabeth Studebaker Creative Services. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon, Xenia Kiwanis, Xenia Business & Professional Women's Club, former chairperson on the board of directors of the Women's Recovery Center, and a feature writer for the Xenia Gazette. She was the former vice president of the Xenia/Greene County BPW Club, and served on the boards of several non-profit organizations. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, volunteer work, and reading. Most importantly, she was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded by her parents, her loving husband, Jerry, and sister, Martha Jane Scott. She is survived by two sons, Gerald Andrew "Andy" Studebaker, Xenia, and Mark R. Studebaker, Kettering, four grandchildren, Heather (Chris), Holly (Ben), Sarah, and David and five great-grandchildren, Logan, Kassidy, Jonah, Maddox, and Ian, and by several nieces and nephews and by many, many close friends. She received the James E. West Fellows Award in memory of her husband, (Gerald) Jerry Studebaker, from the Boys Scout of America, Troop #165, in 2006. Services will be held on Tuesday, July 7 at 10am at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 990 Old Springfield Pike, Xenia, with Rev. Donald Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-9pm Monday, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
