FAIRBORN — John G. Ewing, age 73, passed away Friday July 17, 2020. He was born February 17, 1947 in Ohio, the son of the late John W. and Helen (Dugan) Ewing. John served his country during Vietnam in the U.S. Air Force and followed with employment with Navistar, retiring after 32 of service. He was a proud Eagle Scout and an avid Cleveland Browns fan. John enjoyed traveling, mowing the lawn and spending time with family. He is survived by his wife, Betty; daughter, Susan (Todd) Schuyler; granddaughter, Olivia Moon Schulyer; four siblings, Robert (Mary) Ewing, Linda (Clint) Kays, Cathy Ewing, Dave (Michele) Ewing; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 22, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial with military honors will follow at Byron Cemetery. The family requests that a mask be worn if attending the service.
