Karen Tanner Obituary

XENIA — Karen A. Tanner, age 67, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of the late Earl and Ruth (Kattleman) Dunn. Along with her parents Karen is preceded in death by her husband: Thomas R. Tanner and a brother: Robert L. Dunn. Karen is survived by her son: Travis Earl Tanner; step-son: Samuel Glenn Tanner; grandchildren: Jennifer and Brittany Tanner; and special friends: James T. Hepler, Betty Spencer and Robert Dabe. Karen also leaves behind her beloved dogs: Scooter and Sky. Karen was a Xenia High School Graduate class of 1966, and a member the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Xenia. Karen was a animal lover. All of Karen's family and friends knew "Karen was the one in charge". Karen has a favorite saying "Love is like a butterfly". Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Monday November 23, 2015 at the McColaugh Funeral Home Inc. 826 N. Detroit St. Xenia, Ohio 45385 with Steve Hunt officiating. There will be a gathering of family and friends Monday November 23, 2015 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will take place immediately following the service at the Confidence Cemetery Georgetown, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Karen's name to The Greene County Animal Shelter 641 Dayton Xenia Rd Xenia, Ohio 45385.
