XENIA — Kendra Pauline Stevens, 68, passed away on November 6, 2021. She is survived by her son, Alex Steven Armitage, her sister, Moana King, her uncle and aunt Frank and Dorothy Warren, her great nephews, Jarred and Steven Shaw, her daughter-in-law, Melissa A. Marino, and her granddaughters, Mya and Zoey Armitage. Kendra was born on January 28, 1953 in Shelbyville, IL and was a graduate of Xenia High School, Class of 1971. Having lived in multiple states growing up, she worked for most of her life as a pharmacy technician at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and at St. Elizabeth Hospital and the Dayton Veterans Affairs Medical Center, both in Dayton, Ohio. Light hearted and easy going, Kendra always tried to assist those she loved and made time to listen to friends and family in need of compassion and understanding. She loved to read, garden, and was fond of trinkets featuring the moon and butterflies, among other things. A great fan of college football, her ever enduring passion for THE Ohio State University Buckeyes was rivaled only by her son and she looked forward to watch each season on the gridiron. Later in life and in spite of her son's best efforts, she was overjoyed to spoil her granddaughters whenever the opportunity arose and never arrived empty handed when visiting. Kendra is preceded in death by her parents, Sarah Jane Stevens (Warren) and Paul Kendall Stevens, and niece, Keiana King Shaw. No formal services will follow as was Kendra's wishes. (McColaugh Funeral Home has been entrusted with her care.)

Memories go way back to childhood, in fact Moana was my very first and best friend. Kendra always kept my younger brother busy. The Steven's family were like family. Kendra and I in recent years corresponded about our sons and grandchildren. I loved her and will greatly miss her!
