FAIRBORN — Phyllis G. Huff, 87 years of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023. Phyllis was born February 15, 1936, in Hindman, KY., the daughter of the late Elbert and Clella (Hays) Barker. Beside her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Huff, Jr. on July 30, 2006; two sons, Gary L. Huff on April 4, 2021, Michael R. Huff on April 9, 2023. Phyllis attended the Good News Gathering in Hillsboro. Retired in 1992 from the Fairborn City Schools where she worked in food service for 30 years. Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Carla (George) Huff-Kelley of Stevinson, CA.; daughter-in-law, Pam Huff of Hillsboro; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian) Smyers of Lebanon, OH., Jessica (Andrew) Saltzman of Lebanon, OH., Casey (John) Kelley-DiMichele of Del Mar, CA., Zachary Huff of Dayton, OH., Griffin (Mara) Kelley of Denver, CO.; seven great grandchildren; sister, Martha Ann (Skip) Rendall of St. Augustine, FL.; uncle, Harmon (Dot) Hays, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. A combined service will be held 12:00 P.M. Thursday, April 20, 2023, at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with her son, Michael. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
