JAMESTOWN — Stephenie A. Powers, age 59, of Jamestown, passed away Monday, March 11, 2024, at Soin Medical Center. She was born January 26, 1965, in Xenia, Ohio the daughter of Stephen J. and Sharon (Cline) Powers. Stephenie was a 1983 Graduate of Greeneview High School. She was a caring, loving person who loved her family, loved to read, watch the Blue Jackets, watch the food network, and especially loved her cats. Stephenie's family will miss her home-made noodles. She started working as a travel agent for AAA, then worked for several years as a sound operator at the Blue Jacket outdoor drama. She then moved on to work at Fine Print Books until its closing. Finally, she worked as an employment specialist for Ohio Means Jobs. Stephenie is survived by her mother, Sharon Powers of Jamestown; father Stephen (Shiela) Powers of Jamestown; sisters, Rachel (Jim) Powers of Jamestown, Bethany Powers of Columbus, and Laura Hanson of Jamestown; niece Samantha Hanson; nephew Michael Hanson; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Stephenie is preceded in death by both her maternal and paternal grandparents. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Powers-Kell Funeral Home, Jamestown. Burial will follow in the Silver Creek Old Cemetery, Jamestown. Visitation will be held Monday, March 18, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. My deepest condolences to the family. I worked with Stephanie as an Employment Specialist at Greene Works. Stephanie was always caring, understanding and compassionate with her clients. We shared our love of Chinese food on many occasions. I considered you a good friend. Rest in Paradise sweet friend until we meet again.
