Anthony Feacher Obituary

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord." ~ Psalm 34:23
Deacon Anthony Feacher, Jr., 92, of Madison, Fla., peacefully transitioned from this life on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Sept. 19, at 12 p.m., at Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church, in Greenville, Fla. Public viewing will be held on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., in the Chapel of J.P. Moore Mortuary, in Madison, Fla. Interment will follow at Oakfield Cemetery, in Monticello, Fla.
Deacon Feacher was a devoted servant of God, ordained deacon and Sunday School teacher. He retired after 30 years of service with Winn-Dixie Distribution and was known for his strong work ethic, his kindness and his ever-present smile. A family man at heart, he treasured his children, siblings, grandchildren; in addition his life of faith, service and laughter will remain a blessing to all who knew him.
Deacon Anthony Feacher, Jr. was a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, church leader, Sunday School teacher and friend; but most of all, he was a child of God. His well-lived life was his legacy and testament of his love, faithfulness and commitment to service. While he is now absent from everyone's sight, he will never depart from their hearts. Those who will miss him until they meet again are his sons: Carlton Feacher, Anthony Vincent (Schernita) Feacher and Charles Davis (Sharon) Feacher; daughters: Belinda (Charles) Givens, Clarice (Robert) Muller, Velma (William) Priester, Vicki Renee Feacher and Veronica (Marcus) Feacher-Green; brothers, Robert James (Edith) Feacher and Frank Nixon Merritt; sisters: Ella Mae Feacher Brown, Beatrice (Vernon) Harper and Posey Mae (George, Sr.) Brinson; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; along with many other sorrowing relatives, compassionate friends and consoling church family.
Final care and compassionate services are being provided to the Feacher family, with love, care and uncompromising dignity, by J.P. MOORE MORTUARY & CREMATION SERVICES, Madison, Fla., (850) 973-6677; Jamarien "J.P." Moore, Mortician.

So sorry to hear of his passing. He was such a joy to be around. He helped my father for many years on the farm when he was a young fellow. He was a neighbor and friend. Not so long ago, he told me stories of working with my Dad and I cherish the stories he told. Love to his family. Love every one of his sisters and I will be praying for them and other family members today and in the days ahead. (Donna Alderman Driggers Townsend)
