Elizabeth Sellers Obituary

Elizabeth "Betsy" Harrison Sellers, 81, was born on June 18, 1944, in Savannah, Ga. The family moved to Madison, Fla., upon her father's return from WW II. She spent most of her life in Tallahassee, where she built a warm and loving home surrounded by family and friends. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025.
She was the daughter of the late Dr. A.F. and Bernice Harrison and was preceded in death by her beloved husband, C.C. Sellers.
A proud graduate of Valdosta State University, Betsy earned her degree in English and continued her education with a graduate degree in Interior Design from Florida State University. Her keen eye for beauty and design was evident in every space she touched, and she delighted in bringing warmth and charm to her home and the homes of others. She loved decorating, reading, creating beautiful pottery and spending time with friends and family-moments she treasured above all else. Betsy was known for always being stylishly dressed, greeting everyone with a warm smile and contagious excitement to be with the people she loved. She had a natural gift for making others feel welcomed and cherished, and her joyful presence will be deeply missed.
She leaves behind her cherished children: Benjamin H. Wilkinson, Jr. (Suzanne), Ginny Dudley (Doyle) and Franklin Hill Wilkinson. Betsy was immensely proud of her grandchildren and step grandchildren, each of whom brought her great joy: Hooper Wilkinson (Olivia), Sutton Wilkinson, Sarah Palowitch (Brendon), Trey Roberts (Elisabet), Grace Marconcini (Nic), Drew Dudley, Parker Wilkinson, Harrison Wilkinson and Grier Wilkinson. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Kendall Leigh Palowitch, Collins Elizabeth Wilkinson and Scarlett Marconcini, who brought her tremendous joy.
Betsy is survived by her loving sister, Fran Rude (George), who remained faithfully by her side throughout her final days. She was also surrounded by the care and support of her devoted nieces, Ann Rubin and Maggie McWhirter, whose kindness brought her comfort and peace.
She also adored her faithful dog, Daisy, who was never far from her side.
Betsy leaves behind a legacy of love, grace and beauty. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends and all who were blessed to know her.
A special thank-you to Bruce and Coleen Sellers for their devotion to Betsy over the years; their care, love and constant support meant more than words can express.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 4, at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Big Bend Hospice and the Alzheimer's Association in Betsy's memory.
