Eva VanSickle Obituary

Eva Marie VanSickle, age 62, of Lee, Fla., passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Marie was born on Oct. 9, 1962, in Waycross, Ga., to Jack and Margie Dixon Peacock. After graduating high school, she attended cosmetology school and became a talented hairdresser. She later went on to learn additional trade skills, building a life filled with hard work, creativity and love. Nearly two decades ago, life's journey brought her to Lee, Fla., where she found a place to call home.
Marie had a deep love for animals and cared for many beloved pets throughout her life. She enjoyed traveling, and her passion for arts and crafts reflected her creative spirit. Above all, Marie will be remembered as a kind, compassionate and loving woman whose greatest joy was her family. Her warmth and devotion touched all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life service took place on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m., at their home, located at 148 SE Doolittle Trail, Lee, Fla.
She is survived by her life partner, Jonathan Donaldson, of Lee, Fla.; her son, James Wirtz (Ashlyn), of Lee, Fla.; her daughter, Jacklyn Wirtz, of Tallahassee, Fla.; her brother, Steve Peacock, of Oregon; four grandchildren: Isabelle, Illiya, Asaiah and Evolent; as well as nieces and nephews; Jason, Stephanie and Michael.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Marie's life was a gift to all who knew her and her memory will continue to inspire love and kindness in the hearts of her family and friends.
