With heavy hearts, but joyous memories, we celebrate the life of Karen Angela Dickinson, who passed away on Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on Aug. 1, 1958, Karen brightened the lives of all who knew her in Madison, Fla., where she resided for many years.??Karen was a dedicated pricing manager for Winn-Dixie, known not just for her professional prowess, but also for her warm spirit and infectious laughter. She took great pride in her role and always brought a personal touch to her work and interactions with colleagues.??In her personal life, Karen found great joy in the simple pleasures. Loved ones will fondly remember her sunny disposition, as she often sought out the beach to soak up the sun and enjoy the beauty of nature. A talented cook, Karen delighted family and friends with her culinary skills, often making gatherings a delicious and cherished experience. ??Above all, Karen cherished her time spent with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She adored her two dogs, who were constant companions on her many adventures. Her bond with family and her unwavering love will be remembered as a cornerstone of her legacy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mariston and Erma Blanton; her step-father, Bob Webb; two sisters, Debbie and Randi; and her brother, Gene Blanton.??
She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Scott Dickinson; two children, Mandy Stores (Robert) and Michael Dickinson (Charlie); along with seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
??In honor of Karen's life, a joyous celebration took place to remember her warmth, spirit and love. Funeral services were held on Friday, Oct. 31, at 11 a.m., at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Madison, with Bro. Harvey Dunn officiating, where family and friends came together to share stories and to reflect on the wonderful moments they shared with her. Interment service followed immediately afterwords in Oak Ridge Cemetery.??
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Karen's name to the Madison County Sheriff's Office Animal Services, reflecting her deep love for her furry companions. ??
Karen Angela Dickinson was a beacon of love and light, and her legacy will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
